Responsive grants

In keeping with our history of grantmaking, the Ross Trust will fund other areas of need. This includes responding to Victorians in crisis and building a strong and robust philanthropic and social sector.

The Ross Trust areas of interest are:

  • human rights – to support the legal and human rights of vulnerable Victorians, in particular refugees, asylum seekers and First Nations people
  • for-purpose sector leadership – to build a strong and robust for purpose sector
  • emergency relief – delivered by community organisations to assist families and individuals with basic needs in times of financial crisis
  • natural disasters – damage resulting from extreme weather events.

These grants are by invitation only and range in value from $25,000 to $100,000 per year for up to three years.

Organisations must meet our eligibility criteria and be sure they don’t fall under the grant exclusions.
